Delta was founded in 1952 by Alex Sakuta. After attending Lawrence Tech in Southfield and working within the big three, Alex decided to start a company that would utilize his transmission experience and engineering expertise. His idea was to establish a company and work environment that centered on quality craftsmanship. By always striving to be the best, Alex knew that both employees and end users would benefit. These exacting standards were not only reflected in the parts produced by Delta, but also in the relationships that developed with customers. His fair and honest business approach, along with his ability to problem solve, set a precedent for the company. With the company's focus firmly in place, the growth and success resulted was a natural end result.

Delta Experiences Constant Growth

After little more than a decade in business, the company had out grown its Inkster, Michigan location and moved to a newly built facility in Livonia. This first major relocation of machinery enabled Delta to maintain its commitment to quality and fulfill increased demand through expansion.

Our supervisors alone average more than 20 years experience in high precision machining. Time and time again this knowledge has allowed for on-site trouble shooting and problem solving, necessary in prototype production.
